4 Pieces of Monday Motivation

Hi loves! Today I’m sharing something that we all need in our lives, some Monday motivation. I don’t know about you, but Monday’s are particularly rough in my house. It’s the start of a new week, and there’s still 5 whole days until the weekend… *sigh.* But, don’t let that get you down. Instead of finding Monday to be a drag, I like to think of Monday’s like a fresh start. Here’s what I do to make sure my Monday is the best day of the week:

Create Goals.

Each week, I like to create goals that I can obtain by the following Monday. I usually try to do 3-4 goals. Sometimes these are smaller things, like working out 2 times per week. Sometimes, they are larger like putting 50% of my paycheck towards savings. Whatever the goal, it feels fantastic when you achieve it!

Prepare Yourself.

This goes without saying. You need to prep yourself for the week. For me, this means going to be early on Sunday and sleeping in a bit on Monday. Whether it’s 30 minutes or two hours, I’m feeling a little more relaxed. Other ways to prep for a Monday include picking out your outfit the night before and doing a little self-care on Sunday night (think face masks and a glass of wine).

Be Positive.

Okay, so this isn’t a huuuge change to make and it’s a little something that will really brighten your day. Instead of thinking “Gosh, it’s Monday. Here’s another week,” try thinking “Today’s Monday! A chance to have a better week than last week!” It’s really the little things that will switch up your whole mood.

Do Things That Make You Happy.

The biggest tip I can give y’all is to do things that you like. Set aside time for yourself. If you want to watch Grey’s Anatomy instead of working out, because you’ll feel better, do it. If you’d rather eat a salad instead of that pizza you’re craving, do it. There are so many things that we can do to better our attitudes. Instead of wishing, do.
