Sweetest Ever Hot Chocolate Recipe

Hi loves! I’m not sure how it’s already day 5 of #Blogmas but it is! So, here’s a recipe I’m loving this holiday season! My sweetest ever hot chocolate recipe. But be warned—this recipe is truly for a sweet-tooth. (But you could cut down some of the sugars to make it less sweet!)

Y’all know I’m not much of a coffee drinker, and I’m not super fond of a hot chai—which is why this hot chocolate recipe is perfect for the holidays!

Start with a creamy, milky base of whole milk and half & half. If you’re not much of a whole milk kind of gal, switch it out for 1% or 2%. Combine the milk with the remaining ingredients: brown sugar, chocolate chips and cocoa powder. Mix it all together and throw it into your crockpot (high heat for 2 hours!) Easy as pie!

Just before you are about to serve your chocolate delicacy, add in some vanilla. Top off your hot chocolate with some marshmallows and Lindt LINDOR truffles. Additional toppings could include a sugar rim, whipped cream or cherries! Use your imagination!

Here’s some tips:

Can hot chocolate be reheated? Of course! I would recommend throwing it on the stove top instead of the microwave, so it doesn’t come to a boil and overflow.

Can I store this hot chocolate? Well, if you don’t manage to drink it all in one go, let it cool to room temp and store it in the fridge. Use the instructions above to reheat it.

What if I want to tone down the sweetness? To make this chocolatey drink a little less sweet, cut down on the cocoa powder and sugar. It will still taste just as delicious! But might be better for those of you who might not be complete sweet-tooths.
